Giannini Hall, a historic building, was built in 1930, on the University of California, Berkeley campus. Southwest Construction provided repairs for this historic structure involving the removal of topping slabs, replacement of drains and horizontal drain lines. Our work included the installation of overflow drain pipes, application of elastomeric coatings to side walls, installation of modified bitumen roof coverings with walkway protection, installation of epoxy membrane and sheet metal flashings at windows and flashing beneath roof tile. Our construction team installed the cementitious waterproofing, copper flashing, elastomeric coatings, and expansion joints. Southwest Construction also replaced two French double window/doors, matching the historic appearance.
