DESCRIPTION:

The Phillip Burton Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse Plaza is a massive 21-floor federal office building located close to San Francisco’s Civic Center and San Francisco City Hall.

Southwest Construction’s work on this project included removal and replacement of the basement entrance and exit ramp; topping slabs and waterproofing membrane; resealing the plaza paver joints; repair of the building-to-basement expansion joint; installation of a flexible gutter system; ventilation of the crawlspace; and repair of concrete corbels. Southwest Construction also removed and installed a larger flagpole and lighting fixtures. In addition, our contract included removal and replacement of the landscaping to facilitate the replacement of the plaza waterproofing.

All employees passed federal security clearance to work on the building by the U.S. Federal Protective Services.
